Neighborhood Groups

Our Neighborhood Groups are smaller groups of people who meet together in homes throughout the week with the primary goal of developing a Christian community where Jesus Christ is experienced in his presence and power. These are communities through which Christ’s Spirit transforms our lives as individuals and groups and, as a result, transforms the neighborhood and broader community as well.

Each group is facilitated by a trained leader who has a vital spiritual life as well as experience in leading a group. Participants in Neighborhood Groups have the ease of connection with the members of the group, the leader and an Elder who is designated to each group. NGs are the structure from which we develop our spiritual life.

To get started in a Neighborhood Group, simply find one that meets near your home and show up (it might be a good idea to email the group leader before you go to make sure they are meeting that week!). Or you are welcome to email the church office for more information, info@citychurcheast.org.

This fall (2016) our Neighborhood Groups will be reading and discussing the book Everyday Church together. You can find the discussion guide and information about ordering the book here: http://www.citychurcheast.org/pages/ngbook.
