Education

Education

Sustaining the welfare of a community means investing in the youth. We believe one of the primary means of doing this is through education. CCEN members teach in the schools, tutor local students and are actively involved parents in various schools throughout East Nashville.

For the past 4 years, we have enjoyed tutoring middle schoolers each Wednesday afternoon at East Nashville Magnet School.  We have developed friendships with the students, parents and faculty as we work on math and reading skills.

We have also partnered with KIPP Academy for 6 years, coordinating a Thursday night reading club for 40 middle schoolers each semester.

For information on these and other opportunities, please contact the City Church office via email to info[at]citychurcheast.org.
